The Border Management Authority says it has processed 663 Ghanaian nationals for repatriation through OR Tambo International Airport over the weekend. BMA Commissioner Dr Michael Masiapato says the operation was conducted in partnership with the Ghanaian High Commission and other government stakeholders. More than 300 EPWP workers otherwise called Green Army will today march to Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi's office in Johannesburg to demand their reinstatement. The Green Army claim their contracts were unlawfully terminated and some of them have never been paid while others were paid a monthly stipend of 2-thousand 800 instead of the government mandated monthly allowance of 5-thousand - 700 rand. President Cyril Ramaphosa says government is intensifying efforts to curb the employment of undocumented foreign nationals. He says the South African Police Service, Home Affairs and the Department of Employment and Labour will step up inspections at workplaces. Ramaphosa says the Labour Department has begun recruiting 10,000 inspectors this financial year to strengthen enforcement. Bongiwe Zwane spoke to Employment and Labour, inspector general Aggy Moiloa.

The Chairperson of Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Home Affairs, Mosa Chabane, has welcomed President Cyril Ramaphosa's call for stronger action against illegal immigration. Chabane says government departments must urgently implement the President's directives to strengthen immigration enforcement, tackle corruption, and improve border security. He also backed plans to increase labour inspectors and immigration officers, while stressing the need for regional cooperation to address migration challenges across Africa. One person has lost his life in the Garden Route storms that swept the district over the last two days. Police have confirmed that they've found the body of a 40-year-old male, who was swept away in floodwaters on Wednesday night in Waboomskraal, outside George in the Western Cape.

President Cyril Ramaphosa says HIV/AIDS has left a destruction and scars in many families across the country and the globe. Ramaphosa was speaking at the official launch of the HIV prevention drug- Lenacapavir in Secunda, Mpumalanga. He says 360 public health care centers in the country's provinces will be administering the drug to save lives. Ramaphosa has urged young people to continue using other preventative measures available beyond the new drug. The South African Police Service (SAPS) has confirmed the suspension of nine police officers who served as members of the Bid Evaluation Committee (BEC)  in relation to the Medicare 24 tender process.
