March 05, 2019Mampintsha checks out of a Durban hotel shortly before his arrestUpdate at noon has exclusively learnt that Mandla Maphumulo (MAMPINTSHA) has spent at least one night at the Onomo hotel in Durban and checked out this morning. Earlier today National Police Commissioner General Khehle Sitole gave the assurance that the arrest of musician Mandla Maphumulo, who is known as Mampintsha is imminent. Our producer Aphiwe Honono called the hotel and was transferred to Mampintsha's room and briefly spoke to him. 10 minutes later the hotel confirmed that he has checked out of the hotel. March 04, 2019Office of the National Police Commissioner pursues Babes Wodumo investigationsBrigadier Vish Naidoo; Spokesperson for the National Police Commissioner, General Kehla Sitole says anybody can open a case on behalf of Babes Wodumo, however a statement from her is preferable. This after a video went viral showing the popular Wololo hit maker being beaten by musician Mampintsha. Naidoo adds that a senior police officer has been assigned to investigate. says the National Commissioner has ordered police to trace the whereabouts of Babes Wodumo so that statement can be obtained from her and a case opened. March 04, 2019Babes Wodumo's sister Nondumiso Simelane confirms assault video is not a campaignThe sister of Bongekile Simelane, whose known as Babes Wodumo - Nondumiso Simelane has confirmed that her Boyfriend and Manager Mandla Maphumulo - AKA Mampintsha did indeed assualt the artist. The video which has since gone viral on social media show Mampintsha slappng Babes Wodumo during what appears to be an argument between the two. Babes Wodumo appears to have strategically placed her mobile phone in her bedroom to record the abuse. She is seen crying after being slapped. February 27, 2019Police prioritize investigations into the killing of Thoriso Themane.The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, General Khehla John Sitole, has instructed the Limpopo provincial police to mobilize the 72-Hour Activation Plan in the brutal killing of 27 year old Thoriso Themane. Themane was beaten up by a group of teenagers, aged between 15 &16 at a park in Flora Park suburb in Polokwane on Saturday. The perpetrators took a video of the incident and posted it on social media. Five learners from different schools in Polokwane have since been arrested. Mboweni was speaking at a media briefing ahead of his 2019 budget speech. He said his department supported Mogajane and that he would take Mkhwebane's report on judicial review. However the Public Protector said in a statement that Mogajane was convicted in a court of law and had failed to disclose this in his application.
