The non-profit advocacy organisation says it is doing this in solidarity with two cases of activists, General Alfred Moyo and former Marikana Women's Group leader Primrose Sonti, who is now a Member of Parliament. The Activists wants the court to declare a section of the Act unconstitutional because they say it violates freedom of expression. March 02, 2018Ramaphosa expected to initiate process of re-establishing SADC TribunalPresident Cyril Ramaphosa is now expected to initiate the process of re-establishing the SADC Tribunal after the Pretoria High Court on Thursday declared that former president Jacob Zuma's participation in the suspension of the Tribunal in 2012 was unlawful, irrational and unconstitutional. The Tribunal was set up in 2005 as a judicial body to resolve disputes between Southern African states as well as between states and their citizens. In 2011 SADC leaders - including former president Zuma, suspended the tribunal and later removed the court's jurisdiction for individuals in 2014.
