Contentious issues around the upcoming State of the Nation Address will come under the spotlight on Tuesday when the Presiding Officers of Parliament hold a meeting with political parties represented in the National Assembly. Some of the opposition parties are hoping that the meeting will resolve their concerns around who will deliver the State of the Nation Address on Thursday. Ten suspects have been shot dead and three others were injured in three separate shootouts with the police in KwaZulu-Natal. Six suspects were killed at Mpophomeni, outside Pietermaritzburg, in the Kwazulu Natal midlands. Three other suspects were killed on the N3 near Marianhill Toll Plaza, in Durban.
