The ANC-SACP bilateral ended at the ANC headquarters in Johannesburg on Monday night with an agreement to have another meeting later this month. The meeting was called to discuss unity and the functioning of the alliance with the SACP now decided to independently contest 21 wards at the Metsimaholo Local Municipality in the Free State This follows the Communist Party's call for President Jacob Zuma to step down and the subsequent removal of the SACP's General Secretary Blade Nzimande as Higher Education minister. Members of the public are downloading a pirated, hacked version of Jacques Pauw's controversial new book despite the publishers' warning against this. 'The Presidents Keepers' quickly moved to international best seller lists and sold out within a matter of hours on Friday after the State Security Agency ordered NB Publishers to cease and desist from selling and or printing any more copies. The Revenue Service has also threatened legal action against Pauw. NB Publishers says more copies will be produced next week to keep up with the huge demand. A 41-year-old woman who was allegedly raped by her former employer in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga claims that she is living in fear, almost three years later. She has also raised concerns in the manner in which the matter is handled.
