Rating agency Moody's has commended government for its commitment to fiscal consolidation. The global rating agency says some good work has also been done in addressing problems facing the country's State-owned enterprises. Famous kwaito musician Mduduzi Tshabalala, popularly known as Mandoza had died. The 38-year-old lost his battle against cancer yesterday afternoon while he was being transported to hospital. Despite being ill, the defiant multi-award winning Nkalakhatha hitmaker recently performed at the SABC's Thank You concert at Orlando Stadium in Soweto. He was one of the 100 local musicians who performed in celebration of 90-percent local music content on the public broadcaster's radio stations. Cabinet has once again condemned the destruction of university property by students protesting for no-fee increases. Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe says these are criminal acts and that they undermine genuine demands of the students. In a post cabinet media briefing in Cape Town, Radebe also informed journalists that cabinet has been subpoenaed by the Public Protector to hand over declarations of ministers. Joseph Mosia reports
