According to RAINN, child sexual assault statistics show:

Child protective services found that 57,239 children were victims of sexual abuse.

34% under age of 12 & 66% between age 12-17.

Among cases of child sexual abuse 93% are known to the victim. Of the 93%, 59% are acquaintances, 34% are family members, & 7%strangers.
