In this episode, I was super thankful to be joined by Detech, who jumped in at the last minute to cover this weekend’s show slot. Detech is someone who probably needs no introduction, having been an extremely successful and widely respected Upland community member for several years now, particularly for his insane skills and attention to detail in 3D User Generated Content creation. Detech has won numerous 3D asset construction competitions over the years. He has dozens of map assets, structure ornaments, karts, and wearables available in Upland, and he was, of course, the winner of the Creator of the Year Award as part of Genesis Week 2024. Beyond all of that, he’s also a husband, father, master entertainer, and widely skilled home renovator, all of which I personally respect and appreciate on top of his jaw-dropping Blender skills. I managed to drag him away from all of that for a while today, and of course from the final creation of his ‘Ivory Rising’ building series he’s currently working on for winning the Upland Genesis Design Challenge 2024.
