As Wisconsin continues to experience shortages of COVID-19 testing supplies at many locations, U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin on Wednesday questioned Vice President Mike Pence about reports the federal government is diverting those supplies from the state.

“It hits me in this place … a place that I never thought I would see this happen,” said Sarah Ishmael, a doctoral candidate at UW-Madison School of Education Department of Curriculum and Instruction. “I think it is incredible. I am really excited. I am excited because of what she will do as Senate president. She knows how to lead and ask difficult questions.”

Assembly Republicans, who hold 63 of 99 Assembly seats, do not currently have enough votes to overturn Gov. Tony Evers’ mask mandate, according to Rep. Adam Neylon, R-Pewaukee.

Ron Johnson said, “They realize the best way to defeat Joe Biden is to reduce the fear on COVID,” the Republican lawmaker said. “If people really looked at this disease, it is worse than the flu, but it’s not that much worse.
