앵커: 내년 상반기 취업률이 올해의 70% 수준으로 줄어들 것이라는 소문이 돌면서 취업을 앞둔 졸업생들의 불안감은 더 커지고 있습니다. 자세한 소식 성재우 기자가 전해드립니다.

기자: 한 대학교에서 열린 취업 설명회장 밖에 긴 줄이 늘어서 있습니다. 경기 침체로 인해 내년에는 상반기 채용을 하지 않을 수도 있다는 소식에 취업설명회장을 찾은 대학생들로 건물 안 역시 발 디딜 틈이 없습니다.

대학생1(여): 내년에는 올해보다 더 취업하기 어려워질 수도 있다고 해서 찾아왔어요. 그런데 막상 오니까 워낙 스펙이 센 사람들이 많아서 자신감이 없어지네요.

기자: 취업을 하지 못할 수도 있다는 불안감 때문에 조금이라도 차별화된 이력서를 만들려고 하는 학생들도 많아지고 있습니다.

대학생2(남): 올해에만 인턴십을 세 곳에서 했어요. 제대로 배운 건 없지만 그래도 남들보다 이력서에 한 줄이라도 더 넣으면 조금 더 쉽게 취업할 수 있을 것 같아서요.

기자: 하지만 취업을 담당하는 인사 담당자들은 지원자들은 많지만 기업이 원하는 인재는 많지 않다고 울상입니다.

인사담당자(여): 예전처럼 오랜 기간 동안 신입사원 교육을 할 여력이 없어서 당장 일을 할 수 있는 사람을 찾고 있습니다. 그럴 수 있는 사람이 많지 않아요. 인턴쉽을 했다고는 하지만 실제 일하는데 필요한 능력을 배우는 것 같지도 않고..

기자: 내년 상반기 기업들의 신입 사원 채용률이 줄어들 것으로 예상되고 있는 가운데, 자칫 취업을 하지 못할 수 있다는 학생들의 불안감은 점점 높아지고 있습니다. ILL 뉴스 성재우입니다.

Anchor: Concerns are rising among college graduates as rumors circulate that the employment rates for the first half of next year will shrink to seventy percent. Seong Jae-woo has more details.

Reporter: There are long lines of people waiting outside of a university building where a job fair is being held. As expected, the inside is totally packed with university students who visited the site after news that companies might not do recruiting for the first half of next year due to the recession.

Student 1 (female): I came because I heard it might be more difficult to get a job next year than this year. But now that I came here, I've lost more confidence as I've seen so many people with great resumes.

Reporter: More and more students are trying to make their resumes more unique as they worry that they might not be able to get a job.

Student 2 (male): I did three internships this year alone. Although I didn't really learn anything, I thought having one more line on the resume would make me more appealing in the job market.

Reporter: Nevertheless, human resources managers don't look happy, saying that there are few qualified people despite so many applicants.

Human resources manager (female): We are looking for someone who can be placed in a position right away because we can't afford to train the new employees for a long period of time like we did in the past. But there are not many who can do so. It doesn't seem like those who have internship experience learn necessary skills to carry out actual day-to-day work...

Reporter: While it is predicted that companies will hire fewer new employees for the first half of next year, concerns are rising among students that they won't be able to find a job. This has been Seong Jae-woo, reporting for ILL News.
