Surah Al-Maida, verse 83 presents a vivid portrait of believers who encounter divine truth: "When they hear what has been revealed to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of what they recognize as the truth. They say: 'Our Lord, we believe. So write us down among the witnesses.'" At the Battle of Badr, the believers faced an impossible situation. Outnumbered, exhausted, and facing their enemy with resolve. But Allah didn't leave them alone. There are moments in which we find ourselves in front of a hundred possibilities to commit a sin and zero chance of being held accountable here in dunya. Shaytan makes it seem nice, simple and interesting. The Ayah we're discussing today is something that should ring in our minds like an emergency alarm in moments like these.

"And if he attempts to get to me walking, I'll march to him running", says Allah in a Hadith Qudsiyy. Allah's not that God in our concepts who's on the wait to see us sin so that he could punish us. Rather, he's someone who's more than keen to forgive us and hold us in his wings of mercy. There is no door to him except that he has left widely opened for his beloved slaves to enter and march towards him.
