Whether or not many people feel like they are preparing for a massive rhythm shift, it is a common experience in our lives to go through seasons of resetting, especially as Christians. Our entire journey is about sanctification and becoming, so resetting is constant.

Jesus told his followers to pray to avoid temptation. But before we can pray that with a clear conscience, there are some things we need to ask ourselves first.

If God already knows my needs, why pray? Because the purpose of prayer is to surrender your will, not impose it.

Many of us grew up praying, but our prayers didn't grow up with us. We pray pretty much the way we've always prayed, the way we were taught to pray as children. Some of that is good. Some may not be so good. Jesus’ first followers grew up praying, but had a lot of questions once they heard Jesus pray.
