The UK ranked among the worst hit countries for Covid-19 in Europe, and the severity of the pandemic required recurrent lockdown measures to be put in place. Prof. Chris Chapple (UK) describes what was a dramatic shift in access to care for OAB patients, including disruption of surgical procedures and limited access to diagnostic services. This episode will look at the impact of the pandemic on OAB care, focusing outpatient services management, patients’ quality of life and other potentially serious health risks. Despite the pandemic, use of telemedicine increased, and this is seen as a promising tool to help manage the long backlog of OAB management.
