Rapidly gaining momentum with a sound that falls perfectly between southern Rock ‘n’ Soul and Americana Jam, The Trongone Band is turning heads and making an impact on the east coast music scene. Formed as a family band by brothers Andrew and Johnny with father John Sr. on bass, The Trongone Band enlisted much sought-after keyboardist Ben "Wolfe" White and quickly began packing various venues around Richmond, VA. With the addition of Wolfe, they entrenched their footprint on the city with a Thursday night residency at Cary Street Cafe, pushing the popular music room to maximum capacity for two straight years.

Bio: Bryant Anderson also known as Livin Water was born in Houston, Tx.. He has a passion of sharing his Love for God through his music. Livin Water  was brought up in church but like many, he was strayed away by his own desires. Like the Prodigal Son he returned and with no idea of what he was doing, never wrote anything, never been in a studio, never recorded, no guidance but God took on his mission. His writing is his testimony of life experiences. Hurt, anger, abandonment, wisdom, mistakes, failures, success, a misfit and Love.  Livin Water writes music from his heart and shares his vision through his pen and paper. His experiences allow him to connect with anyone in any walk of life.

Artist's Statement:

The act of painting outside and experiencing nature first hand is an integral part of my work. I am energized by the dynamic beauty of nature. I want to capture my excitement on canvas. While painting on location, I strengthen my connection to a specific site. Because the locations where I paint are important to me, I strive to create a sense of place in my art.  My hope is that the viewer will then "see" what I do in my subjects. My work here in the Virgin Islands is closely linked to my experiences with the natural beauty and the culture of the Islands.

 

I also create whimsical sculptures and installation pieces often incorparating recycled materials.
