Malik Kiambe Johnson, a.k.a. M.K.J., is a gospel rapper born in Memphis, TN, December 20,1992. At age six, he became a Christian at Breath of Life Christian Center where he is an active member in the music and youth ministries. In 2006, he totally sold out to Christ which reignited his childhood love for rap music, writing and composing gospel rap. At age 14, he recorded and released his first single, “I’m a Shine”, which received radio play on the local gospel station 95.7 FM. Since that time, he has ministered almost weekly at various venues around the MidSouth and has been blessed to have graced the stage with other great artists such as Canton Jones, BB Jay, Mr. Del, Chad Jones of RMG, Fro, BreevEazie, Cayerio, Jcksn Avenue, and Shea Norman. He has been featured on television shows such as “The Hollywood AC Show”, “One Accord Ministries’ Taking It Back”, Action News 5 and ABC Local 24. He has been a guest speaker and has performed at Lemoyne-Owen College, Whitney Elementary, MLK Alt School, Raleigh-Bartlett Meadows Elementary, etc. In 2012, he made the TCAP song for Memphis Business Academy. He has worked with the Memphis Music Commission. In December 2014, his Christmas song, “Bring Back Joy”, received radio play on 89.3 FM. In 2015, he made a “Stash the Trash” song for the FedEx Corporation. He has released five music videos: “Let Ya Know”, “Let’s Have a Good Time”, “Gone”, “The Hoods Hot” and “Party Music” (all videos have reached at least over 2,000 views on YouTube). He has surrendered his life, even his own initials, to stand for “My King Jesus” to minister the gospel to the streets and to the youth. He believes in investing in the youth because they are the next generation that MUST be captured. On October 15,2011, he started his very own record label, “
