Urology imaging plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of various urinary and reproductive system disorders. It encompasses a range of techniques designed to visualize the kidneys, bladder, ureters, and other urological structures. One of the most common methods is ultrasound, which uses high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of the urinary tract. It is non-invasive, readily available, and does not involve ionizing radiation, making it a preferred initial choice for many urological conditions, such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, and prostate abnormalities.

Gloria Kolb, CoFounder and CEO of ELITONE will discuss how ELITONE's external pelvic floor therapy not only offers a more convenient and comfortable solution but also helps individuals avoid the potential risks and costs associated with surgical interventions or medications.
Marco Carlos MA, Patient Navigator at Urology of Austin will discuss PYLARIFY® (piflufolastat F 18) Injection used in PET/CT imaging for the detection of prostate cancer in patients. PYLARIFY is a diagnostic imaging agent that contains the radioactive isotope fluorine-18 (F 18) attached to a molecule called piflufolastat. This radiopharmaceutical is used to visualize specific biological processes in the body.
The success of TikTok, a platform that popularized short-form video content, prompted other social media giants like YouTube and Facebook to create their own short video features to remain competitive and capture the audience that enjoys such content. Short videos can quickly capture users' attention in today's fast-paced digital environment.
Lais Heideman, BSN, RN, CURN will discuss the Lumea Prostate Biopsy System. Traditional biopsy of a lesion, places the tissue into a bottle full of a preservative called formalin to fix it. The tissues free floats in the bottle losing track of which end of the tissue is which. Tissue orientation is where the proximal and distal (near and far) ends of the tissue are in relationship to the biopsied organ. The inability to preserve orientation means that a physician cannot accurately map a fusion MRI-biospy, flawing potential treatment plans.
Dean Elterman, MD is discussing Optilume, a New Treatment Option for BPH. Optilume is positioned within the prostatic urethra, which is the part of the urethra that runs through the prostate gland. The balloon is then inflated to open up the narrowed or obstructed area and deliver the medication to the surrounding tissues. The medication helps to reduce the size of the prostate gland and alleviate the symptoms of BPH.
