Computer science is one of the fastest-growing sectors of the U.S. economy. As a result, many K-12 programs are starting to incorporate coding into their curriculum, much like how keyboarding classes were introduced to past generations. Something else, however, is growing alongside jobs – a gender gap. In this episode, Girls Who Code executive Tarika Barrett and 13-year-old coder Sophia Moracco discuss the importance of computer science and the work that Girls Who Code is doing to close the gap.
