SHERIDAN-WILLAMINA NATURAL GAS OUTAGE
News Release from NW Natural

Media Statement:
NW Natural is working on a low pressure issue that developed in the Sheridan-Willamina area on Wednesday night. As a result, approximately 1,400 customers have temporarily lost natural gas service, and some residents of a nursing home were temporarily evacuated (they have since returned to the home).
We were doing work in the area and learned later that some valves were closed which impacted the system pressure. We're still determining what exactly happened.
We regret any inconvenience this may have caused our customers.
Customers can expect to see our field technicians in their neighborhoods today turning off gas service. After we have fixed the issue in our system, we will go door-to-door to restore service and relight equipment as quickly as possible.
Customers who are not available to let our technician in their home will receive a door hanger with a phone number to call to make arrangements for service restoration at a later time.
Customers can call 800-422-4012 with questions. We will provide an update when service has been restored.
