Sr. Ali is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt Univ. School of Medicine and Chief Editor of Medscape Reference Drugs & Disease from WebMD in the cardiology sections.

نورا آرماني فنانة متعددة المواهب، فهي ممثلة ومنتجة ومخرجة ومعلقة صوتية وصانعة أفلام عالمية، وهي مصرية من أصول أرمنية؛ حيث ولدت لعائلة أرمنية استقرت في مصر بالصدفة قبل عام 1914

التحقت نورا آرماني بكلية الطب لفترة قصيرة، حيث تركتها لتدرس المسرح الذي تهواه في الجامعة الأمريكية في القاهرة، وحصلت على عدة فرص للتمثيل على مسرحها، ثم سافرت إلى إنجلترا، وقدمت عدة أعمال مسرحية هناك

وحصدت أرماني جائزة أحسن صانعة أفلام عن فيلمها القصير "امرأة مهاجرة" من مهرجان تورنتو السينمائي الدولي، وأنتجت العديد من الأفلام التي عرضت في مهرجان كان وروتردام ولوس أنجلوس وغيرها من العروض العالمية، وهي المدير الفني المؤسس لمهرجان الفيلم الاجتماعي في نيويورك منذ يناير 2013. كما حصلت علي جائزة إنجاز العمر في مصر من مهرجان الإسكندرية السينمائي الـ 38

Turkey is home to more refugees than any other country in the world, with more than 3 million Syrians and 300,000 Iraqis. But many Turks now believe these Arab refugees have overstayed their welcome. And as the economic crisis in Turkey gets worse, attacks have begun to escalate, both verbally and physically. Is Turkey becoming a mirror for anti-minority sentiment in America? And are Arab governments responding by launching anti-Turkish campaigns of their own?

Dr. Atef Gawad discussed this important topic with his guests Dr. Zaher Sahloul, and Ömer Özkizilcik in the program "East-West Dialogues" on U.S. Arab Radio this Friday, August 4th, 2023 on "Anti-Arab Sentiments grow in Turkey & US.

Dr. Zaher Sahloul is the cofounder and President of MedGlobal, US based humanitarian organization that provides free healthcare to the displaced, the refugees and victims of wars and disasters in partnership with local communities in Syria, Yemen, Gaza, Iraq, Lebanon, Colombia, Greece and Bangladesh. He is Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist based in Chicago and a strong advocate of protecting civilians, children, healthcare workers and human rights of refugees in war situations.

Mr. Ömer Özkizilcik is an Ankara-based analyst of Turkish foreign policy, counterterrorism, and military affairs. A leading expert on the Syrian civil war, Özkizilcik has written extensively on the non-state armed groups and the state actors involved in the conflict.

A very timely discussion with Dr. Sahar Khamis and her guests Dr. Nader Kabbani and Dr. Courtney Radsch in the program "The Bridge" on how AI is changing our world today, its different usages and applications, its economic, social, technological, and educational impacts, and all the opportunities it brings and the threats it poses.

Dr. Nader Kabbani is Senior Fellow and Director of Research with the Middle East Council on Global Affairs and a Research Fellow with the Economic Research Forum. Previously, Kabbani was a Senior Fellow with the Brookings Institution and Director of Research with the Brookings Doha Center. A development researcher and practitioner with over 20 years’ experience, Kabbani served in leadership positions the Silatech Foundation and the Syria Development Research Center at the Syria Trust for Development. He also served on the faculty of the American University of Beirut and the research staff of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the California State Senate. Kabbani regularly consults for international organizations and serves on the advisory boards of several social enterprises and non-profit organizations. Kabbani holds a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Courtney C. Radsch, PhD, is the Director of the Center for Journalism and Liberty at the Open Markets Institute. In this role, Dr. Radsch produces and oversees cutting-edge research into news media market structures and helps design smart policy solutions to protect and bolster journalism’s financial and editorial independence.

Dr. Radsch is journalist, scholar and advocate focused on the intersection of technology, media, and rights. Previously, she was a fellow at UCLA’s Institute for Technology, Law & Policy where her research focuses on media sustainability and the platformatization of journalism; AI governance and information ecosystems; and the evolving socioeconomic and technopolitical effects of media and technology. She is the author of Cyberactivism and Citizen Journalism in Egypt: Digital Dissidence and Political Change (Palgrave-Macmillan, 2016)

دخلت بعض المدن الأمريكية، من بينها العاصمة واشنطن، ضمن قائمة المدن الأكثر تلوثًا، وذلك بسبب الدخان الكثيف الناجم عن حرائق الغابات الكندية، والذي انتقل إلى سماء الولايات المتحدة بكميات هائلة، وحوّل السماء في بعض المناطق إلى اللون البرتقالي، مما دفع السلطات إلى إصدار تحذيرات بشأن خطورة الهواء السيئ.

وقالت السلطات إن دخان حرائق الغابات يمكن أن ينتقل لمسافات هائلة، ويشكل خطورة على صحة الإنسان، حيث تكون جزيئاته صغيرة للغاية بدرجة تكفى لوصوله إلى الدم عبر الرئتين لو تم استنشاقها.

ناقشت الإعلامية ليلى الحسيني هذا الموضوع الهام تلوث الهواء المخاطر وسبل الوقاية، مع الدكتور زاهر سحلول، أخصائي الأمراض الصدرية والعناية المشددة، ورئيس منظمة "ميدغلوبال" الإنسانية.
