Dr. Hani Bawardi: Dr. Hani Bawardi is an associate professor of history and Arab American studies at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. He is a specialist in Middle Eastern studies and related fields, such as early Arab American life and literature and immigration. He is a board member of Washington Street Historical Society in New York, and owns a sizable manuscript collection considered to be one of the most important of its kind in the country. He teaches a range of courses and has developed two new courses recently: Arabs and the West Arabs and Muslims in the media and Palestine and the Palestinians.
