The college football transfer portal is not officially open for business yet, but the USC Trojans are in a really good spot to land a defensive back.

Carrington Pierce entered the portal from Oklahoma State after his head coach, Mike Gundy, was fired early in the season. He played a year in JUCO prior to this season.

The USC Trojans completed their historic 2026 recruiting class yesterday by signing 35 players. Today, two more players have been announced as intending to enter the transfer portal.

2nd-year offensive lineman Makai Saina and true freshman safety Stephen Miller will enter the transfer portal when it opens in January.

Yesterday was a historic day as the USC Trojans locked down one of their best recruiting classes of all time. The coaching staff deserves a ton of flowers, and many are getting recognized as some of the top recruiters in the country.

The only drama at all yesterday was the delay in elite tight end Mark Bowman submitting his papers. We put to bed everything surrounding that, as Bowman is now officially a Trojan.

Finally, many around the social sphere want to mock the number of commits that USC took on, jeering "quantity" over "quality." This is absolutely false, and here is why.
