USComics:cast

I don’t care if your name is Marc Spector, Steven Grant or Jake Lockley if you haven’t started Moon Knight yet, you WILL be judged. Marvel/Disney’s latest offering is here, and the Rivera’s have thoughts. AAWA Charlie plays catch up with Venom 2:Electric boogaloo, while Jon vamps it up with Morbius and the record-setting Jarod Leto.

Brains….. Brains….. why doesn’t AMC use their brains! Why won’t the Mad Men behind Walking Dead let the series rest in peace? A FOURTH spin-off series has just been announced, even as the series finale is upon us. Much like the cause the Zombie outbreak though, nobody knows why. The Brothers Rivera are scratching their heads just like everyone else, and they have something to say!

Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s……The Plutonian?! Netflix and 4-color funny book legend-Mark Waid are bringing Irredeemable to the small screen! The blond bad-boy with the buzzcut is FAR from the first Superman knock-off to break bad though, and the Brothers Rivera are running down some of the best and worst of the super-powered bunch!

The Bat-signal is lighting up the sky once again! Flip the switch in Shakespeare’s head, slide down the Bat-Poles and buckle-up old chum, our dynamic duo of Rivera’s have something to say! Riddle me this! Has Robert Battinson brought us the perfect Dark Knight Detective, or is the Caped Crusader in the Twilight of his popularity?

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate’s life for Taika Waititi! The Kiwi sensation has done it again, as he brings his unmistakable brand of story-telling to the high seas. Pass the rum and back that booty up, cause the Rivera’s have joined the crew! AAWA Jon covers the events, blowback and backtrack of King Conan #3, while Charlie peers down the path of DC’s cinematic/streaming future endeavors following the Bat’s most recent outing!

You had better get home before dark, cause this week the Brothers Rivera are joined by SGT. Finesse and they have something to SAY! The Russo Bros. are back with the brand-new sci/fi-horror TV show, “From”. Putting out major “Lost” vibes, is this thriller a mystery worth solving or are we just on a road to nowhere? AAWA said Russo’s are joining forces with Kevin Smith in a Marvel vs DC “Slugfest”, and your terrible trio are ready to take sides!

Peacemaker Season 1 review - USComics cast

Tear your world apart, once the magic starts...DC/Gunn & HBOmax have done the impossible, turned a D-level character into the most interesting, timely and fun-to-watch property on their roster (sorry Harley). Charlie may say different, but Jon NEVER saw it coming. Join the boys as they break down the best, better and bestest of Peacemaker:Season 1. AAWA USComics drops BIG news regarding the short-term and long-term plans of the best damn comic book you’ve never read!

*Pew, pew, pew* Favreau & Filoni have once again dumped out their shared toy box and given us yet another Star Wars installment to gorge ourselves on! This time around it’s good ole’ Boba Fett (w/real rocket firing action!) Have they been the proverbial bacta tank that the ole’ clone needed, or have they only delayed what the Sarlacc started? This week the Rivera Brothers enlist the help of a true Star Wars zealot, to tell us if our take “stays on target” or is straight up “bantha fodder”.

A Tennessee school board has voted to pull the Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novel Maus from it’s curriculum. Maus, the NON-FICTION, multiple award-winning, genre defining, masterpiece by Art Spiegelman…has been banned, and the Rivera brothers are incensed. Tenn. Volunteers fans throwing trash, mustard bottles and golf balls onto the field after a blown 4th down, seems trivial compared to this embarrassment. AAWA Jon basks in the glow of the Superman ’78 finale, while Charlie targets the upcoming Halo small-screen series.

Favreau & Filoni must have ordered something from Amazon.ca, because Romona Flowers is headed to a galaxy far, far away! The one and only Mary Elizabeth Winstead has been added to the impressive cast of the upcoming Ahsoka series, and your boys are in lesbians with the announcement! AAWA Charlie is worshiping at the alter of Khonshu and praising the Moon Knight trailer, while Jon ponders the future of BOTH GI Joe and The Transformers as they pack their bags and leave IDW Publishing in their rearview!
