Use This Simple Tool To Dramatically Improve Your Results – ETHE 023

When it comes to improving our results in life, there is only one variable.  Us.  We are the only thing that stands between what we have and what we want.  That's why personal development is so important.  When we improve ourselves, our results naturally improve.
Show Notes
A being board is a powerful tool for personal transformation.
It’s a visual reminder of the qualities, characteristics, and attributes we need to embody in order to improve our performance and our results in any area of life.
Success begins within.  This is why personal development is vital to winning in business and in life.
Developing our state of being is the starting point of all success we will ever realize.
This exercise is one of the free downloads I include with my book, Just Be It!: The Secret To Having What You Want In Life
Everything you do and have in life flows from your conditioned state of being.
When you improve your state of being, you’ll find yourself doing the right thing, at the right time, in the right way.
Life is primarily an internal game.  When we change, everything changes for us.
When you've finished making your being board, post it where you can see it every day.  Then, start identifying with the ideas you have on your being board.
An example of an 8.5 x 11 being board created for success.

When working with it, keep the following ideas in mind: Repetition, consistency, and frequency.
We live in a universe ruled by cause and effect. Being is the cause.  Having is the effect.
A being board is a visual reminder that we are the cause of what we have in life.
Most of us go wrong by focusing on what we want to have (the experiences, circumstances, and conditions).
We forget to focus on the cause of having what we want (our state of being).
So, focus 75-99% of your energy on what you need to be, and 25-1% on what you want to have.
Set a clear intention about what you want to have, then let it go, and focus on being.  You’ll have a much better chance of realizing your goal.
Here are the steps to creating your own being board:
Identify what you want to have?
Then ask yourself what you have to be in order to attract or create it?  What qualities, characteristics, and attributes do you need to develop within yourself?
Lastly, at every moment throughout your day, ask yourself, “Am I being it?”  If not, make a conscious effort to do so.
This is a fun exercise for both children and grown-up’s alike.  Going through this process will help you identify ways of being that will help you achieve your goals and dreams in any area of life.
An example of a 5 x 7 being board.

Three real world examples of the concept in practice:
To have love: Be attractive (inside and out).  Be interesting (and interested).  Be lovable.  Be kind.  Be thoughtful.  Be supportive.  Be entertaining.
To have health: Be active.  Be flexible.  Be vital.  Be vibrant.
To have money: Be helpful.  Be valuable.  Be a problem solver.  Be a solution.
Do you see how important being is to having what you want in life?
One Sentence Summary:
To have what you want in life, focus on being (embody the qualities, characteristics, and attributes) that will cause you to create or attract it.
