George Wood and Brit Eaton believe that our legalistic, box-checking, one-size-fits-all programs produce astonishingly high failure rates—which means far too many people are left to fight addiction, mental health problems, and suicidal thoughts on their own.  

So, they wrote a book (that will be released by the time you hear this episode), called, “The Un-covery”: Understanding the Power of Community to Heal Trauma.  They believe that their book will help the church—and the world—see recovery through a grace-laced, gospel lens. 

George A. Wood is an ordained minister, pastoral care counselor, and a former addict turned recovery activist and founder of three different recovery ministries.  And his co-author, Brit Eaton is a writer, speaker, discipler, adjunct professor, and strong advocate for nontraditional recovery and women in ministry.
