THIS EPISODE:
I want to like kanban boards. I really do. But my brain just doesn’t know what to juggle my different projects in one board. And I want one board only (with other pages in the board but still, I want 1 overview board for all projects). So instead of continuing to do something I can’t do, I let go of this kanban dream.
And I embraced a simple checklist for each episode in Notion. I love notion, just not the kanban part. I’ve been creating a checklist for each client podcast. And with each episode I’m adding more details and moving around the items in the workflow. Somehow doing this on the micro level is freeing. It’s liberating. I LOVE IT and am thriving with this flexibility.
In short, I let go of the overview and it’s relieved so much stress.
I still keep my daily, weekly and dream planning in a no line paper notebook. So in a sense, this is my overview place. It’s not digital and it’s not shareable and that’s fine. That’s awesome. It’s my thinky space. All mine.
MICROPHONE NOTE:
My mic was in a paper towel roll, which was stuffed into a plastic cup to stabilize it on my table. Mic stands are nowhere to be had where I am right now so I’m making do with what I can. Apologies for any hand or other noise artifacts. You’ve been warned.
