Capturing the “voice of the students”… that’s the goal, right?
If we can better understand their concerns, wishes and anxieties,
we can better serve students and communicate what campus resources
Today I’m talking with Alyssa Levenberg, who is a senior at SUNY
Oswego majoring in Communication and Social Interaction studies.
I’m very excited to feature her on the USP podcast today because
we, as administrators, talk a lot about working and engaging with
students in more productive and meaningful ways, and Alyssa brings
us a very valuable look into the student side of exactly that
She’s the host and editor of “Alyssa Explains It All,” a video
blog series giving advice about the college experience to
prospective students at SUNY Oswego. She’s also a social media
intern for the Communication and Marketing Office and Department of
Communication Studies, and is the Social Media Director for
WTOP-10, the student run TV station at SUNY Oswego. In the “real
world,” she ran social media and did audience analysis for
Popcornflix.com, an online streaming site created by Screen Media
Ventures in New York City.
