USP9 - Punching Above Your Digital Weight Class with Seth Odell

Listen Later

Today I’m talking with Seth Odell about the

future of higher education marketing, how to really think deeply
about the audiences we serve, and perhaps most importantly - as
it’s pretty core to the mission of this podcast - trying to uncover
strategies for small teams to leverage their resources and
effectively punch above their digital weight class.

One of the industry’s leading creative talents, Seth is no

stranger to successful enrollment marketing campaigns. His work is
Emmy nominated and includes Southern New Hampshire University’s
heralded 2013 cross-country bus tour campaign, which the Chronicle
of Higher Education called “Exhibit A of Marketing Success” and
“One of the most buzzed-about marketing campaigns in higher
education.”

As Assistant Vice President of Integrated

Marketing at SNHU, Seth was responsible for conceptualizing,
writing and art directing the university’s national advertising
efforts and helped the institution grow from 7,000 online students
to 70,000 students in just four years. Prior to joining SNHU seth
founded Higher Ed Live, the industry’s first and only live weekly
webshow network.

Today Seth serves as Vice President of Creative

& Marketing Strategy for Helix Education, where he works with
colleges and universities to help them develop their brands, craft
meaningful messages, and deliver integrated advertising campaigns
that drive results.

So fasten your seatbelts, fire up your google

doc notes, and get ready to be hit in the face - in the best way
possible - with knowledge, wisdom and actionable insights. Please
enjoy my conversation with Seth Odell.
