  • Ep. 59: Found in Kyoto ft. Genkai & Joestar

    Hello! Happy Monday frnds as always we bring you the best of the best, today is no different we have two of the best DJ's in the land you might have seen them at Cerise rooftop, Penny Whistle or your local pop up they always bring great energy. Lost in Kyoto! aka Genkai_the3rd and Joestar_thedj came to visit the pod and give us some insight on what it's like to be DJ's in Chicago and what it looks like to run a DJ business. They give their origin story all working at Apple the three friends found common interests musically and took their passion and started taking on gigs all over the city. Jason and Pablo are still recovering from a crazy Coachella experience, Squared has a hard time sympathizing with their pain since he was stuck in the chilly Chicago weather the rest of the gang was living it up in Palm Springs.     We met LostinKyoto through Flthy Rich our last guest, they Dj'd one of his events and we continued to work with them ever since. They have always been anti-gatekeeping and assisted so many DJ's that came after them, it helps them learn and master their craft as well. Jason is trying to get his hands on a Suzume cut out or poster so if you have one hit him up! We speak on how important packaging is for merchandise and art, it can really bring up your products price point. We love guests that participate in our snack time theme song lol we have snacks from all over the world and rate them from 1-10 today we have a polish snack and a hood classic.

  • Ep. 58: Usr Frndly gets FLTHY ft. Richard Ticas
    We finally got @Flthy.Rich! International FINE artist RIchard Ticas visits the podcast, he's well known in Chicago for his Anime art as well as collaborating with Kid Laroi, Juice WRLD and most recently Vandy the Pink. Rich explains his origin story as well as how his mother and her church feel about his provocative masterpieces. Jason is gearing up for one of his most anticipated drops yet a tribute to Chicago you can now see on his instagram dropping at the end of the month. Squared has been working countless hours at both of his jobs also working on his collection. Pablo has a show this week April 28th in Pilsen make sure to come out to see everyone on the pod and have a good time there will be art from Jason, FlthyRich and so much more. We recall how we all met Rich and the very first show that brought everyone together. Since then Rich collaborated with Adfectus (Pablo & Squareds first streetwear brand) and he tells us about his first brand he started with his day ones back in highschool also.     Welcome back to another spectacular episode of Usr Frndly! On this weeks episode we give the listeners some gems, the best jerk taco spots in Chicago, as well as the best burger thank you Kevin for the great USR question.   • Ep. 56: Every Old Person in 2023 is Tweaking

    Welcome back! Thank you for tuning in to another episode of Usr Frndly the gang catches up after another long week, Pablo is looking for someone to help his mother sell Arepas, Jason makes it clear that he won't be giving out his clothes to anyone that doesn't appreciate it (good for you king), Squared has raised a nice amount of cheddar selling his pieces and reinvesting it into his brand. We talk about how we manage our cash and passwords for our logins ( we be forgetting) but our phones don't make it any easier when they suggest a long ass password. Pablo get's into a car accident! An old lady rear ended him and now he has to take his car to the body shop, Jason expresses his problem with the way this country takes care of its seniors, Squared doesn't have any sympathy he's convinced they're jerks! When is the appropriate age to have sex and do drugs? Pablo gives us insight on his parenting, Jason and Squared recall how they grew up and were raised as well. We talk about gun control and how school shootings are too normal now, we need bun control! Jason has never been to Disney World but really wants too, Pablo think's it will be too boring for his son but Universal Studios might be the move. Scooby snacks for snack time they were delish, we answer some USR questions and have a lengthy discussion about world war 3.

  • Ep. 55: Know Your Personnel ft. DAGZ
    We have Dagz on the pod today! It was such a great time he brought on Jarvis Rush as well we cover everything from Dagz's origins to what he considers himself to be now and where he see's himself in the near future. Rex talks about how he travels so much, his girls goal to hit 30 countries before she's 30! Squared recaps working the Smino event at Joe's Every Now and Then store and how fanatic some people can be for their favorite artist. Pablo moves in with his girl officially and worked the Pokemon event that dagz will also be Dj'ing at. Dagz is more than just a DJ he uses that skill to meet people and make experiences happen.   • Ep. 54: Technical Difficulties
    Hello! This was a rough one unfortunately our sound malfunctioned (i know not very Usr Frndly of us) therefor the audio on the first half isn't going to be that great quality you're used to but.. the show must go on! This is the most drunk we've ever experienced Rex fresh off a brunch he was feeling it! Jason recalls how he got into making clothes, working in the screen printing industry resulted in him suddenly owning so much heat. Squared was a bit down this week alot of family things happening but he's always looking on the bright side and pushes through for us. Pablo is starting to feel the effects of not smoking this month well he replaced it for mushrooms so that could be it too..

We talk about her relationship with her father, how he got her into painting and her special occasion baking projects. The overwhelming demand after her Bad Bunny cake. Being the oldest of 4 just was born to be a leader, she explains to us what the term Rizz means and what all the kids are saying now. We get into what a store should feel like when you walk in, the weird energy we feel from some places and how we really are the friendliest place in the world. The constant recycling of fashion, how a lot of the sneakers will forever be re-released for generations that couldn't afford them when they first dropped. Squared gives his thoughts on Creed 3 he better not watch any other movies without us. We also talk about the new Harry Potter game and what our patronus and Horcrux would be.   • Ep. 51: You Can't Stop the Sun from Shining
    Season 3! It feels so good to be back ahaha we spend this episode celebrating our one year of podcasting and enjoy our new set up we even got a couch in here now it feels way more comfy. Jason's been getting ripped at the gym, Rex recaps his girls night out watching SZA perform, Pablo has his first employee review and Squared has a cool week as always. 
    We talk numbers on this episode, taxes, our times being sober and how long we've been partaking in controlled substances. You ever get so fried you stop at a green light? Jason inspired Pablo to take a tea break of his own but Jason is back to his ways until after Coachella, understandable. We speak about body positivity and how Pablo used to be one of those insecure kids that wore a tshirt in the pool. We might see a shirtless episode one day though when the weather warms up. We find out who's the best driver out of all of us and the reasons we've gotten pulled over. Delicious snacktime we rate Strawberries & Cream Dr.Pepper, some wontons and fruit snacks. 
    Not Squared though he's off candy for lent. Right after this episode we went to go see cocaine bear it was a great day recording on a Friday and pretty early. We recorded this episode in our dress up clothes you can catch a glimpse on youtube but unfortunately the cameras cut off early, all in all it was another amazing episode and we learned alot about eachother thank you for watching, listening and supporting us. Everything is improving the space , audio and video  our content is constantly getting better and we have alot of big things on the way thank you for rocking with us we hope to continue to make you proud..   • Ep.50: Chai’s Corner
    You know what it is another fabulous episode of USRFRNDLY! we have nothing but illustrious prominent guests and this week is no different. Crystal Chai is a singer, songwriter, artist, voice actor and so much more! she's barley scratched the surface of her creativity and we're so happy shes back in town specifically for this episode. Crystal moved to Korea about 5-6 years ago when won the Korean equivalent to American Idol, after awing the judges with her skills she took some time to graduate school and since then has become her own entrepreneur selling her art just out here grinding. This is the season finale to season 2 we take some time to appreciate this first year of podcasting and what our biggest take aways from this experience have been. Rex auditioned for the voice with crystal and Jason is salty for being alone on Valentines Day, Pablo has been spending more than he'd like but as Squared likes to say we're never broke when we're rich in frndship.
