USS Constitution Museum Presents

In this upcoming “not-to-be-missed” Leadership Forum conversation, NCAA President and former Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker joins Meet Boston President & CEO Martha J. Sheridan to explore what it takes to guide large, decentralized organizations through significant change. From leading Massachusetts through the COVID-19 pandemic to navigating a new era in college athletics, Baker brings hard-earned insight on decision-making under pressure and balancing competing priorities. Sheridan will draw upon her work leading Meet Boston, whose team secured FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, the 2023 Army–Navy Game, introduced the MICHELIN Guide to Greater Boston, and a surge of major conventions and events, fueling job creation, small business growth, and international visibility for Greater Boston.

What can past crises teach us about leading through division and uncertainty? Originally recorded on November 13, 2025, featuring award-winning historian and author Nathaniel Philbrick with USS Constitution Museum President and CEO Jeff Draeger.

When missions hinge on precision and preparation, what happens when things don’t go as planned?
