- Prince of Peace - Psalm 118:19-29We are walking thru the season of Lent and today we arrive at Palm Sunday, where we will study several parts of Scripture that show the ups and downs Jesus traversed on his way to the cross. This Sunday we will look at his triumphal entry into Jerusalem. If you are willing to trust a plane or car to get you to your destination, are you willing to trust God to guide you here on earth and to your eternal destination? When you don’t feel like rejoicing, tell God how you truly feel. You will find that God will give you a reason to rejoice, a reason to find peace. If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - Mechanical Obedience - Philippians 3:4-14Paul wanted to concentrate on getting to know Jesus on a deeper level. This wasn’t something mechanical, this was with a concentration that involved his whole being; his mind; his heart; his time. Paul was all in!If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - God rolled away the shame - Joshua 5:2-12Many times, we forget that when we are in the midst of a trial, that when God brings us through, we often find ourselves in better condition than before the trial began. When faced with challenges to our faith, we should never forget that the strength that we need is related to a covenant and promises that God has initiated on our behalf. If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - The call to Repentance – Luke 13:1-9Fear of God and knowledge of sin is essential, but that is not the essence of repentance. Repentance is not remorse. It is not just enough to be broken. It is not just enough to be contrite. It is not just enough to turn over a new leaf to mess up a clean page. True repentance is revealed by changing our actions. Repentance it is more than turning over our lives. It is more than just feeling sorry for our sins. Repentance means to change the direction of our lives completely. It means to stop walking toward selfishness or self-centeredness or a life that is centered upon what the self desires. It means to make a 180-degree turn, to start walking toward God, toward his vision, toward His aim and goals for our lives. If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected] If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.com We feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - Modeled by Christ - Philippians 3:17-21- 4:1Paul indicates Christian maturity involves acting on the guidance that we have already received. We can always make excuses that we still have so much to learn, but the truth is that the instructions for us are to live up to what we already know and live out what we have already learned. We ought not be sidetracked by an unending search for truth. If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - God's instructions for those wandering. - Deuteronomy 26:1-11Following Ash Wednesday, on the first Sunday of Lent, the scriptures take us to another down-to-earth ritual. Each year, when the harvest begins, the Israelite farmers are told to gather a basket full of the first fruits of the harvest to present to God at the place of worship. Christians ought to mark the season of Lent, as a time to redouble a commitment, to care for the most vulnerable in our communities, especially those without the privilege of generational wealth, those considered aliens and those considered outsiders in our communities. If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - The New Way - 2 Corinthians 3:12-18, 4:1-2Paul expressed his humility before God - No one can claim to be adequate without God’s help. No one is competent to carry out the responsibilities of God’s calling with human strength alone. Based on his own experience Paul knew that without the Holy Spirit’s enabling, our natural talents can carry us only so far. As Christ’s witnesses, we need the character and special strength that only God can give.If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - God has made me forget all my troubles. - Genesis 45: 3-11,15For some of us, when one bad thing happens, we are done, finished. But not Joseph. He kept his head up. He kept his values. He kept his faith in God and he succeeded at everything he did. Joseph was a man of character. Twice at a young age he had been gravely wronged, first by his brothers, then by his master's wife. But he didn't give up, he forged ahead anyway. If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - Seeing the Realm of God - Luke 6:17-26Luke describes how Jesus came down from the mountain with his new twelve apostles and disciples. Luke describes how Jesus stood on a level place and leveled with them on the quality of Kingdom life. Jesus had been teaching and healing from the very beginning of his ministry. That is why the crowds were there. That is why they followed him around. Jesus had come down to where the people were.If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need. - With Him forever! - 1 Corinthians 15:1-11In the gospel of John 14: 6 John had heard Thomas’ question and here's part of how Jesus answered it: 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. This is it! Jesus is the way, His is the truth, and He is everlasting life - If we believe - one day we will be with him forever…If you would like us to pray for you, please send your prayer request to: [email protected]If you would like to see this or previous messages, either as video or audio versions, please visit us at: https://www.ustepin.comWe feel God is blessing us as we create these weekly Sunday sermons and that is all the recompense we need.
