Utah National Parks Part 2

Listen Later

S02 Episode #25 Utah National Parks Part 2   Welcome to the Travel Gluten Free Podcast, where you, my friend, listen in on how to lead a gluten-free lifestyle with more fun and ease!   My friend, in the last episode I gave you the 411 on how to travel in Utah National Parks, how to travel Utah, what to bring and what you and your family can do in a national park. Even though I packed a bunch of information into the last episode, these next two episodes are going to focus specifically on Utah Parks. If you haven't visited a national park, check out my last episode and visit nps.gov to find a park you'll love!   This episode I'll chat about Arches and Canyonlands, two northern Utah parks and I'll take you on a journey of both of these national parks, and why I love each of them. I'll give you stories, recommendations, how to travel in Utah parks, and what to bring and when to go!   Remember to always bring the following to a Utah National Park:
  • sunscreen
  • lip balm
  • sunglasses
  • water bladders and backpacks for each person on your trip
  • snacks and lunch
  • good running / hiking shoes
  • hat
  • paper map (cell phones do not work in most areas of national parks in Utah or in southern Utah in general!

Canyonlands invites you to explore a wilderness of countless canyons and fantastically formed buttes carved by the Colorado River and its tributaries. Rivers divide the park into four districts: Island in the Sky, The Needles, The Maze, and the rivers themselves. These areas share a primitive desert atmosphere, but each offers different opportunities for sightseeing and adventure.
