Jared Tanimoto, President at Ascent Wealth Advisors, fellow class member of InvestmentNews’ 40 under 40, and a fellow father, joins me on this week’s episode of Bridging The Gap. 

We jump into his journey to starting his own RIA firm, the unique hurdles he’s faced in the industry, and the technology innovations he’s used and will continue to use to grow his firm. He also opens up about re-framing the conversation with the younger generation and prospective clients to lay out the clear vision to the end goal for them.

Jared Tanimoto is CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and founder of Ascent Wealth Advisors, a fee-only RIA based out of Irvine, CA, and has been working in the financial services industry for over 10 years. He is a past President of the Financial Planning Association of Orange County and was recently nominated to InvestmentNews’ 40 Under 40 list for 2021.

Outside his professional life, Jared and his wife live an active lifestyle with their daughter and enjoy anything that involves the outdoors. While out of the office, you can find him rock climbing, mountain biking, free diving, skiing, and playing golf.
