Jay-Z has been accused in a civil lawsuit of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 along with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.

The federal lawsuit was filed in October in the Southern District of New York, listing Combs as a defendant. Jay-Z was later revealed as the unnamed celebrity in that lawsuit.

Jay-Z has also released his own statement and called the allegations “idiotic”. Jay-Z previously filed his own lawsuit in October alleging that he was trying to be extorted by the lawyer Tony Buzbee.

He was also acquitted of murder which led to outrage from a lot of people in the black community. I discuss the debate on whether this was an “unjustifiable killing”.

The next topic explores the argument of reparations to former British colonies due to the transatlantic slave trade. Should these colonies deserve being compensated for the historical atrocities or should the focus be towards building a prosperous future?
