In this episode, Dr. Lee chats with fellow coach Kim Pendleton about her experience in bringing intimacy and vulnerability to their daily self care practices and their work with clients. Lee and Kim discuss the reactions of clients, family members, colleagues, and students to their vulnerability and the creation of safe spaces to be fully themselves. The creation of vulnerable moments creates permission for others to be more alive and whole, with better relationships and better versions of themselves as a result. Dr. Lee and Kim invite their listeners to get vulnerable and start the process of moving towards a more authentic and pleasurable life.

Notable Moments

“Was it going to be too much to have this part of myself out for the world to see?... It was a huge tension in me for so long... My definition of vulnerability had a lot to do with courage… Vulnerability is the amount of myself that I am going to be brave enough to share.” - Kim

“There is something about feeling it all really deeply but not letting the deep feelings pull us under anymore that is really the hallmark of doing our deep vulnerability work. It honestly makes real intimacy possible because you are able to be under the surface without being worried that it’s going to drown you.” - Kim
