The Great Commission

"Go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." Matthew 28:19-20

One of the harder ministries to recruit for is religious education and sponsors for OCIA. Perhaps it's because of the committment on a Sunday morning but it might be because we don't think we are capable or need to be in the church longer or have letters behind our names.

You don't need credentials to catechise Kindergartners or high schoolers for that matter. And you certainly know more about being Catholic than most adult catechumens. You just have to be willing to help and take up the Great Commission that Jesus gives to all of us to build up The Church by teaching the Faith.
