This 1966 Pontiac GTO is a beautifully restored car, but the owner wanted to upgrade the braking performance a bit with some new disc brakes. He also wanted the ability to change the look of the car without doing any permanent modifications, so the Goat got a new pair of shoes. Here, the V8 Speed & Resto Shop Crew installs a new power disc brake kit from OPGI and adds a set of 18” Rocket Racing Booster wheels wrapped in Toyo Tires modified by Diamond Back Classics with goldlines. Now, the GTO stops easier and can wear the original Rally 1 wheels or switch to the Rockets for a split personality. 1978 Pontiac Trans Am FAST EZ EFI Fuel Injection Overdrive Engine Upgrades V8TV V8 Speed & Resto This 1978 Pontiac Trans Am came to the V8 Speed & Resto Shop more like a lame duck than a bird of fire, so our team went to work adding new rear gears, a 2004R overdrive transmission, a roller cam from COMP Cams, and a FAST EZ-2.0 EFI system for better driving manners. A 1969 Pontiac GTO was a hot car, and the heat got hotter if you ordered one with the high-revving Ram Air IV 400-cube V8 and a 4-speed. Less than 50 were built with the RAIV in a 4-speed convertible, and this one was recently unveiled at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago after a complete restoration.
