Heaven forbid you have an injury or illness that was caused by defending your country. That’s not in the budget. Nobody planned for that. It’s not what you signed up for when that recruiter offered you the moon and the stars.

It sure isn’t what was promised to recruits who aren’t citizens, but they thought they would become citizens if they served. That’s a whole other issue my guest can address.
