You don’t need a new voice, a new persona, or a trend to chase, you need the courage to stay yourself. I’m coming to you from vacation with a short, honest check-in and a preview of my latest reel project, “Give Me 15,” debuting on Friday. People ask me all the time what makes my Reels and my podcast feel fun and different, and my answer is simple: I refuse to copy anyone else. The more real you are, the more people feel it.
I also share a lesson from my radio days when someone pushed me to change my voice to sound deeper. I tried and it didn’t work, because it wasn’t me. That’s why I keep my show audio only and why I’m comfortable being more in the background now. Some listeners even say my soft voice makes them want to sleep, and I explain how I’ve learned to reframe that kind of feedback. Calm is not a flaw, and rest is not a failure.
From there I talk about vacation life: resting first, working a little, and keeping my routines simple. I touch on food and mindful eating too, including why I don’t like labels, why I’ve avoided meat products since 2001, and how I usually stick to one meal a day or smaller meals without overeating. I close with gratitude for your support, a reminder to be safe, and why prayer and faith stay with me wherever I go.
If this speaks to you, listen all the way through, then subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a confidence reset, and leave a review. What helps you stay authentic when the world tells you to change?
