Sl: Mrzlo zimsko jutro.
En: A cold winter morning.

Sl: Blejski otok se dviguje iz gladine jezera, obdan z ledeno skorjo.
En: Blejski otok rises from the surface of the lake, surrounded by an icy crust.

Sl: Matevž, strasten zgodovinar, gleda čez zamrznjeno jezero.
En: Matevž, a passionate historian, looks across the frozen lake.

Sl: V njegovih očeh sije radovednost.
En: Curiosity shines in his eyes.

Sl: Govorice pravijo, da se na Valentinovo pod ledom pojavi skrivnostna svetloba.
En: Rumors say that on Valentine's Day, a mysterious light appears under the ice.

Sl: Je to le legenda?
En: Is it just a legend?

Sl: Ali pa je kaj resnice v starih zgodbah?
En: Or is there some truth to the old stories?

Sl: »Matevž!
En: "Matevž!"

Sl: « Anjin glas ga zdrami iz premišljevanja.
En: Anja's voice snaps him out of his thoughts.

Sl: Ona in Gregor stojita ob njem, v toplih plaščih, pripravljena na pustolovščino.
En: She and Gregor stand beside him, dressed in warm coats, ready for an adventure.

Sl: »Ste resni glede tega?
En: "Are you serious about this?"

Sl: « vpraša Gregor skeptično.
En: asks Gregor skeptically.

Sl: »Seveda,« odgovori Matevž.
En: "Of course," Matevž replies.

Sl: »Moramo ugotoviti, od kod prihaja ta svetloba.
En: "We need to find out where that light is coming from.

Sl: Danes so pogoji najboljši, ker je svetloba najsvetlejša na Valentinovo.
En: Today is the best day because the light is brightest on Valentine's Day."

Sl: «Ko se noč spušča, se odpravijo na jezero.
En: As night falls, they head onto the lake.

Sl: Leden veter piha okoli njih, a jih ne ustavi.
En: The icy wind blows around them, but it doesn't stop them.

Sl: Gregor nosi svetilko, Anja pa termovko s toplim čajem.
En: Gregor carries a flashlight, while Anja has a thermos with hot tea.

Sl: Matevž vodi pot s kartami v rokah.
En: Matevž leads the way with maps in hand.

Sl: Ko dosežejo središče jezera, se ustavijo na debeli ledu.
En: When they reach the center of the lake, they stop on the thick ice.

Sl: Kmalu opazijo svetlobo, ki jo vidijo skozi ledeno ploskev.
En: Soon they notice the light, visible through the icy surface.

Sl: Bleščeča in skrivnostna.
En: Shimmering and mysterious.

Sl: »Poglejte,« zašepeta Anja.
En: "Look," whispers Anja.

Sl: »Tam je.
En: "There it is."

Sl: «Matevž, kljubiri opozorilom, se spusti na kolena.
En: Matevž, despite warnings, drops to his knees.

Sl: »Moramo biti pazljivi, a moramo se približati,« reče.
En: "We must be careful, but we need to get closer," he says.

Sl: Led nevarno poka in odpira razpoke.
En: The ice ominously cracks and opens crevices.

Sl: Srce bije hitreje vsem trem.
En: All three hearts beat faster.

Sl: Gregor in Anja se zadržujeta malo bolj zadaj, pripravljena pomagati Matevžu, če bo potrebno.
En: Gregor and Anja hold back a little, ready to help Matevž if needed.

Sl: Svetloba je vedno močnejša.
En: The light grows stronger.

Sl: Matevž pritisne obraz bližje ledu in zagleda obris nečesa.
En: Matevž presses his face closer to the ice and sees the outline of something.

Sl: »To je… relikvija,« razloži, glas mu trepeče od vznemirjenja.
En: "It's... a relic," he explains, his voice trembling with excitement.

Sl: »Kako jo bomo izvlekli?
En: "How will we get it out?"

Sl: « vpraša Anja.
En: asks Anja.

Sl: Po pazljivem načrtovanju uspejo s skupnimi močmi previdno izvleči starodavno relikvijo iz ledu.
En: After careful planning, they manage with combined efforts to cautiously extract the ancient relic from the ice.

Sl: Z daljnogledom opazijo nekaj izrezljanega, podobno simbolu, ki so ga našli v starodavnih knjigah.
En: With a telescope, they notice something carved, similar to a symbol they found in ancient books.

Sl: Legenda je resnična.
En: The legend is true.

Sl: Ko se previdno vrnejo na trden teren, je Matevž prežet z novo energijo.
En: When they carefully return to solid ground, Matevž is filled with new energy.

Sl: Gregor in Anja se smejeta, srečni, da so bili del tega odkritja.
En: Gregor and Anja laugh, happy to have been part of this discovery.

Sl: »Rekel sem vam, da svetloba ni le legenda,« ponosno izgovori Matevž.
