"Outer Reaches, Vol.1" is the first in a mix series by Hospital Records maestro Polaris, and Fokuz Recordings artist Valiant Emcee. Their friendship blossomed as they bonded over their mutual love of classic atmospheric drum-n-bass, as well as much of the current deep and liquid flavors. Their objective was to celebrate DnB from the past 25 years without being an "old school" mix, or a chronology. Musically, they masterfully captured a sound that is simultaneously a love letter to Logical Progression/Progression Sessions, and to deep drum-n-bass in general, while serving as a mission statement for the two going forward.

This podcast is the audio for the Roti and Poutine show, which broadcasts weekly on Twitch.tv/armannireign. This week, hosts Armanni Reign (@ArmanniReign), T.R.A.C. (@t-r-a-c), and Valiant Emcee (@Valiant-Emcee) welcome the legendary dnb visionary Goldie(@goldie-official) of Metalheadz (@metalheadz) to the hot seat. Goldie is a force of nature, both creatively and conversationally, so buckle up. At the time of this episode, Roti and Poutine was simply something we were doing to pass time during the COVID19 quarantine, so we were still going by the working title "Rapper Talk", and TRAC hadn't yet come up with our theme music. If you're wondering about all the laughter, viewing the show on Youtube will add that extra dimension. In a nutshell, wigs played a big part.

On this 13th episode of The Vocal with Valiant Emcee, the first in the age of the COVID 19 pandemic, we talk to two very special guests. First, MC Astro joins us from Dallas, Texas. One of the few American MC’s with a significant body of work, his voice has landed on such labels as V Recordings, Fokuz, and Soul Deep. With an upcoming release on Weapons of Choice with stateside production legend KC, he calls in for a post-outbreak chat. Afterwards, Hospital Records renaissance man Degs checks in with us for his second appearance on The Vocal, where he discusses his new album, mental health, why bad guys in movies have English accents. All this, plus some of the best vocal drum-n-bass music in the apocalypse. Wash your hands!
