Validation UGH
The dictionary version of the validation is recognition or affirmation that a person or their feeling or opinions are valid.
EXHAUSTING for me and I am sure them.
Validation can put unnecessary stress and pressure on relationships and potentially cause it to fall apart.
I remember in my relationships whether it be a boyfriend or friendships I needed constant validation. I needed the validation that they wanted me around that they thought I was cool enough that I brought value to the relationship.
It never ended working out in my favor usually the relationship just faded away because they couldn't meet this expectation I put on the relationship.
Do you know what else I learned the real reason I need the validation from people was I otherwise felt replaceable in their lives.
How does this relate to Honor & Embrace Yourself A LOT
Why do we need that validation?
As much as I wish could get rid of the need for validation altogether. We are social creatures We thrive in community and just have a need to be accepted
I know we live in a world now that it is instant validation & acceptance. How many likes & views do we have? How many followers? As kids, we look for validation from our parent's teachers. We are in a world now where we doubt ourselves if we don’t get validation.
How do we change? How do we look for less validation?
We love ourselves. We show up in life where feels good to us. If you want to post all about being a mom DO IT! If you want to promote your business DO IT! Share your tik toks or workout videos DO IT!!
When you feel validation starting to creep its way in. Take some time to think about why is this feeling coming up for me. Why do I need this validation Who are you looking to for validation?
Let’s start changing the narrative that people use social media for their platforms to be their REMARKABLE selves without validation.
