Of all the things God says about Himself, maybe none has more powerful and wonderful implications for us than His declaration and purpose to be a forgiving God. In this sermon, we discover how God describes His forgiveness in His Word, and how complete, glorious, and ridiculous that forgiveness is.

There is rampant idolatry in our current society, even (and maybe especially) in Christian circles. Sure, we don't worship hand-made images or statues, but we bow down at the altar of control. In this sermon, we discover that God calls Himself the potter, and ask, "What does it mean to be clay?"

Though we incorrectly define a God we could never fully grasp, God has already told us all we need to know about Him. And in that revelation, He calls Himself the Potter and us the clay. In this talk, we try and discover the ramifications of such a relationship, and take hope in the fact that the Potter simply doesn't stop working.

Mark leads our 9 AM Foundations service in the kickoff of our series "What God Says About Himself". In looking at Psalm 118 and throughout the Bible, we can find that God is good, merciful, and faithful. Our response should be to 1) give thanks and 2) be merciful ourselves.

What you believe about God is the most important thing about you: so shouldn't what you believe about Him actually be true? In our first installment of the series, we look at how God tells us that He is good even when our circumstances our not, and He is faithful to keep all His promises.

In this fast-paced world where self-sufficiency and planning are held in such high esteem, what do the calls in Scripture to "wait on the LORD" look like in our day? Why would God take something we normally despise--waiting--and make it such an integral part of our walk with Him?

Also looking at 1 Corinthians 15, in the 11:00 hour we looked at the difference between all human hope and the hope that Jesus offers. And we discover that the hope that Jesus offers is THE hope that can withstand any reality.

Going back to Mark 14, we take a look at the difference between the broken and unbroken again. Mark asks how ready we are to serve God when He asks of us.

As we prepare for easter, Mark leads us through a series examining our hearts. By looking at Matthew 14, we get a glimpse of those who Jesus was their king (those who were broken by their sin) and those who only worshipped themselves (the unbroken). As Easter approaches, as God to give you the proper response to His grace and holiness.

In Matthew 5, Jesus actually says that you are blessed when you mourn. In this sermon, we look at how that could be possible and the joy that is found in our mourning in the upside down living that Jesus prescribes.
