Do you wish to live a life that is pleasing to the Lord? It is impossible to do it without having one very special ingredient; faith.

Are you living by faith? It's one thing to say that you are, but it's another thing entirely to live like you are. Hebrews 11, the Faith Hall of Fame, lists many Biblical figures who did live by faith. Mark and Matthew both recorded the story of a time when the Disciples were caught in the midst of a storm. When Jesus stepped onto the deck of the boat he asked them why their faith was so weak.

Without strong faith, you will never live a life that is pleasing to the Lord...

Moses spent so much time with God that His Glory shone upon him when we was back among the Israelites. They could literally see God's presence on him. But, that glow began to fade from him. Why is that? You would think that the literally Glory of God would have stayed with him all of his days.

The thing is, Moses faced a battle each and every day that began to fade that glow.

Are you spending so much time with God that others can sense His presence upon your life? Do you radiate His Glory?

Even if you do, you are going to face a battle each and every day, a battle that will begin to fade God's glow in your life. But if you know the battle ahead of you, then you can prepare yourself for the fight!

Over the last few weeks we have been examining some of the many emotions that we fight against each day. Tonight we take a look at one of the most invisible, but heaviest, emotions we will face; guilt.

King David was wrecked with guilt. He had sinned against God with Bathsheba. Nathan had confronted him. He had acknowledged his transgressions. But he still carried the guilt. God had already forgiven him, but David had a hard time forgiving himself. He carried the guilt with him for years.

What about you? Are you carrying guilt about your past life or your prior sins? God has already forgiven you, but until you forgive yourself then you will pull your guilt around like a parachute, slowing you down and dragging you along.

This past week, the local Knoxville political world was thrown into turmoil as a battle raged over the presence of a scripture plaque in the Knoxville Police Department. Local politicians voiced their opinions on both sides of the issue. But, ultimately, the decision was made to remove the plaque from its position.

Make no mistake; this wasn't about the scripture. It was about the God the scripture references. The public opinion on this matter has been divisive. The language used shows that people hate our God. But the comments from Christians are just as concerning, and often not very Christian-like.

Ultimately, it all shows us that People Need the Lord...

As a Christian, worrying is pointless and disobedient. It shows a lack of faith and understanding of God! It hampers you efforts for today and will drag you down!
