The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists announced the state of it's iconic Doomsday Clock today in Washington DC. The organization was founded in 1945 by Manhattan Project scientists who were worried about the consequences of their work on the nation's first atomic bomb. The Doomsday Clock has been a measure of the safety of the global community for 71 years.
