In Philippians1 we get to see how the Apostle Paul lived above his difficult circumstances. The first thing that greatly helped is that Paul knew that God started a work in him and that God was certainly going to complete it. That helped him rise above circumstance. Paul also came to terms with another powerful principle, which was that he needed to leave his judgments of others to God and not be burdened with the unnecessary weight of that ! Lastly, Paul knew that "to live is Christ". This compelled him to press on, even in very difficult situations, as he walked by faith and not by sight. This message explores how we can be fully present so that we can recognize and engage in all of our God-given opportunities. If our minds are too focused on the past or the future, we often miss out on the very things God is doing in the present. They recalled how God was faithful in their past which allowed them to approach their present with greater faith. To them, choosing Lord means the same as serving the Lord, as it should for us. They were careful to beware of any competing devotions. The ones who served Him were also the ones who experienced Him.
