A brand-new D&D actual play series is coming to ValorBound!

Meet Drinwaya Academy of Magic, our take on the Strixhaven-style magical academy campaign, set in the same world as Cataclysm Calling, Khalos, but thousands of years before the events of the main series.

Follow a new group of characters through four academic years of magic, friendships, rivalries, relationships, schoolwork, jobs, and whatever trouble they manage to get themselves into along the way.

And this isn’t quite your typical D&D campaign.

Played using D&D 5e, homebrew, and some 2024 rules, Drinwaya is a more improvisational, slice-of-life take on actual play. Expect magic and monsters, sure, but also plenty of moments that might make you wonder if you're watching D&D or a magical school anime.

Unlike Cataclysm Calling, Drinwaya is played online through Roll20, recorded live, and released mostly unedited. That means less production time for us and, hopefully, a whole lot more ValorBound for you.

And don't worry, Cataclysm Calling isn't going anywhere. We have a substantial backlog of filmed episodes still waiting to be released, with filming set to resume in the future.

Whether you're a longtime ValorBound fan or completely new to the world of Khalos, you can jump into Drinwaya from the beginning.
