“You cannot serve God and wealth [mammon].” (Jesus, Luke 16:13) Will we serve the false god of mammon - and in so doing ‘trample on the needy and ruin the lives of the poor’ (Amos 8:4). Or will we serve the true God embodied in Christ Jesus - using our resources to care and provide for the poor and vulnerable among us.
