In the sweltering summer of 2011, the city’s pulse grows erratic. The Kindred of the Twin Cities stir to find their nights haunted not only by enemies, but by the echoes of something older and far less forgiving.
William awakens from a nightmare that feels too deliberate to be a dream, his thoughts infected by Ellsworth’s lessons — and the line between revelation and madness blurs. Kaetao, meanwhile, finds himself drawn back into the orbit of Annabelle and Ty, where talk of rebellion and forgotten wars promises both salvation and ruin.
As loyalties bend and secrets burn away, each Kindred begins to glimpse the thin, inverted vein that runs beneath the city — a current of power and hunger that no one can control forever.
About the Chronicle
Dread is the third story arc of Twin Cities by Night, a Vampire: The Masquerade chronicle set in the hot and humid summer of 2011 in Minneapolis–St. Paul.
Following the events of Negligence and Homecoming, the city’s Kindred find themselves caught in new webs of fear, grief, and corruption. In the dark heart of the Twin Cities, power and hunger have never felt so close.
