So far, in this Sending Series, we've dealt with issues of identity. But, as we make the turn to home base, it's important that we talk about our part in the Sending, and the 5 hardest words in the entire poem: "I give you my all". ALL is a big number, and one worth examining on a daily basis.

We all know that “worship” isn’t something that’s confined to the 20 minutes of music at our local church gatherings. But, what does it look like to worship the Lord with our daily living?
“I’ll worship King Jesus in Spirit & Truth, and give every day, God, as praise just to you.”

Those are massively important words.

We live in a broken world and we are a broken people.
But, the difference between Christ-followers and everyone else is that our brokenness serves a greater purpose… to remind us of our great need for God. Between this moment and the moment we meet Jesus in eternity, He is at work restoring us to factory settings, and asking us to be active serving His call on our lives in the meantime.
Broken, Mending, and Called By the Lord.

We live in a polarized generation.
Never before have the words we use to describe our faith been so vital to explain and magnify the God who saved us.
Week after week at VTL, we end our services with “The Sending”, a potent declaration of who and whose we are.
This week, we’ll unpack the massive implications of the words:
Chosen. Forgiven. Redeemed. Restored.

In week 1 of our Sermon Series "Creed", we see the origination of our Local Liturgy, "The Sending". Where did it come from? What does it mean? What should it accomplish? If LITURGY is the WORK OF THE PEOPLE, then living out "the sending" is crucially important.

In our final message from the Matthew Sermon Series, we’re going to investigate the strangest and kindest commandment God ever gave His people. What kind of angry, malicious God would command His people such an outlandish requirement? The kind that knows the hearts of man better than we ever will. Curious? Good!
