In this interview, Parv Tyagi (Editor, Law School Policy Review) sat down with Dr Shruti Rajagopalan to discuss the law and economics movement, how it brings together legal theory and economic reasoning, and how it can help explain the constitutional decline in India. They also discussed India’s broken judicial appointment system and how to fix it. Dr Rajagopalan is a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center, George Mason University and a fellow at the Classical Liberal Institute, New York University School of Law. Before joining the Mercatus Center, she was an associate professor of economics at the State University of New York, Purchase College. Her research interests include law and economics, public choice theory, and constitutional economics.
